Which rules do you use or would you use and why?

I see d20 sci-fi rules as the holy grail of gaming and have yet to find any that could accurately depict Transhuman Space but with D20 rules. What would you use?

I have several d20 sci-fi rules: d20 M+F, Traveller20, Bulldogs!, Star-Wars d20, and Dragonstar. I think that both d20 M/F and Traveller20 would fit for Transhuman Space (that I have too). Then its a matter of personnal taste between the two games. I think d20 M/F would be easier, since it has rules for biodroids and customizable equipment, which T20 doesn't have.

I use Nexus, why? I am the designer LOL

Real reason, it is a uni-system. It makes everything based on a set of rules thus there is no guessing when designing a new piece of kit.

A size system that allows combat between a medium sized creature v a huge vehicle or planetiod sized space craft.

A pile of mutations and cybernetics, with meta feats for boosting the mutations as well.

A combat system that allows more interaction for the players, but its still smple to play.

My favorite d20 Sci-Fi rules is probably Traveller d20, but mainly for its Space Opera and Exploration sensibilities.

For transhuman space, which is a bit of an odd bird, I might lean towards d20 modern and future because it has more built in and third party support for themes you see in TS like cybershells, AI helpers, etc.

Black Nova 35, which is my tried and trusted (well by my group over the last few years) d20 sci-fi

Apart from that havent played any other d20 sci-fi so cant comment!

I would like to humbly recommend my Prometheus Rising setting for d20 Future, which has been compared to Transhuman Space (something I consider a compliment, as a fan of TS).

D20 Sci Fi games?

I own Dragonstar, Prime Directive, Star Wars, and a few more. Of them all, I like the Traveller D20 game the best, but I could see a good arguments being made for using Mutants & Masterminds or Spycraft 2.0.

I've been playing Traveller since it first appeared, so that is part of my bias.

Spycraft has some nicely done variant rules, and by its nature, it handles high-tech weapons pretty well.

Mutants & Masterminds has the advantage of flexibility. By their nature, you won't find a more flexible game type than a Supers RPG (their source material ranges from pure fantasy characters to ultra-hard sci-fi). Any concept you want to model, you'll be able to.
