My favorite is the Green dragon, solely based on the War of the Lance (Dragonlance) series, wherein a Green Dragon held the Sylvanesti king in a prison of dreams. The cover for the module was awesome, too.

Following that, I really like Red Dragons and Shadow Dragons.

Blue.

Powerful, lightning, and they look cool.

Oddly enough I've never used a blue in a game. Just black, green, silver, gold, gray, brass, rust, and greyhawk that I can think of.

If you can create an entirely evil and sneaky HUGE monster why not use it to full effect. Okay, so it can't be huge, fine I'll just use a mated pair of larges then.

After that, it's a mixed bag, but I like reds and golds for roleplay goodness and blacks to mess up the neighborhood. (ever truly think about what one of those beasties can do to an ecosystem - sheesh!)

It's twee, but I always dig fairy dragons. Especially the butterfly-winged beasties from 2e MMII.
