There are some good ones on the list, but...

La Cité des enfants perdus?
Delicatessen?
Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain?

Or what of La Cage aux Folles?

Do none of these deserve mention?

Le Chien d'Andalou. I think that is the spelling...

Considering that pretty much all the French films I have ever seen are either old silent films made in the pre-WW1 period when France dominated the global film industry, and one more modern musical (as in every line was sung) that really depressed me, I decided to go with one of the true pinnacles of classic surrealism. Seriously, that movie made no sense, but was bizarre fun in its own disturbing way. I am not sure it counts, though, since the man who made the film was Spanish...

I'm pretty sure the US version of Léon is the only french film I have watched all the way through. I guess that means it is my "Favorite French Film of all time".

The exclusion of Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain kind of saddens me, it's my girlfriend's favorite movie. Also the top-grossing french movie in America. Le Samourai is my favorite, and I don't think I saw a single Alain Delon film on there.
