Favorite Holiday Movie

Did they do a good job making the book into the movie?
I thought they did a good job of keeping the important pieces of the book, and the actor they have for Mr. Teatime (and his laugh) was incredible. There's some hammy acting, but all in all the cast was great and the movie is well worth watching if you're a Pratchett fan.

I'm going to have to find it to watch.

A Muppet Christmas Carol, Scrooged, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation are favorites. I have complicated feelings about It's a Wonderful Life, which probably deserves more consideration than I'm willing to give it, and I have an unreasonable amount of fondness for Love Actually, which probably deserves far less. I grew up on Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, which I haven't seen in ages, but have fond memories of.

Sound of Music - It might not officially be a Christmas movie, but it got show so often at that time when I was a kid I consider it one.
I concur, its definitely a regular part of Christmas scheduling.

Plus my nephew had 3 videos he watched constantly as a toddler - Annie, Binky Bill and Sound of Music, so much so that we could quote the scripts. - He's now 38

Really, Jimmy Swaggert? My bad, Jimmy Stwwart, but really, Thats a tear jerker? The Peanut Farmer? I have to rethink my life
I have no idea what you are talking about.

Miracle on 34th street featuring a young Natalie Wood as the cynical child won over by a certain Mr. Kris Kringle (played by Edmund (Edwin?) Gwenn).

Jimmy Carter was the peanut farmer. I think you are getting your Jimmies confused, as well as your christmas movies. So I can't disagree with you, you may need to rethink your life...
