Can't believe we have this many posts and no one has mentioned A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Some may not consider this a Christmas movie, but While You Were Sleeping is another great one about family at Christmastime.

And one that's definitely treacly, but I still enjoy is White Christmas. Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye singing "Sisters" is great. (Danny Kaye is great in anything, as well as having been a truly outstanding person.)

Home alone 1 & 2 are classics

Die Hard also.

I did think this years ‘Carry On’ with Taren Egerton had serious Die Hard vibes and captured a bit of that feel.

In Die Hard is 'Hans Gruber' actually who he says he is? Or is he using that identity as part of his terrorist ruse? Was he ejected from that extremist group because the group's true believers found out he was just in it for the money or is he merely using the indetity of an extremist that he somehow knew was likely to currently be laying low?
