Well, it's a little conditional, but I'd have to go with "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses. The only caveat being that I have to hear it on the radio around Christmastime. That really makes the whole holiday for me.

I know the guitar player from the Waitresses - she's a bartender now.

Right now my favorite is Mesh's "Let Them Crush Us" but looking at some of my all-time favs, I've got:

"But Not Tonight" Depeche Mode
"If You Leave" O.M.D.
"Watermark" Enya
"Headhunter" Front 242

This is a tough one, so lets see. A lay me in the grave song would be "The Rain Song" by Led Zeppelin. A well orchestrated piece that manages to conjur up both peace and turmoil, much like life.

The song I just can't help but love when it comes on - "More Than A Feeling" by Boston. Its just a great, upbeat wonderful song that reminds me of the good times I had in highschool.

"Heart and Soul" by T'Pau. A one minute legal sample is here. (Real Audio clip)

I don't generally think about a "lay me in the grave song," you morbid, morbid people :p , but I think I want "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes, ala Star Trek II.

Just one?
Alive by Pearl Jam.
I'm sure everybody has heard it, it's just connected to so many memories from back then.
Ahh, to be a teenager again...

Instead of lowering the tone and picking more then one, I'll just say I haven't been around long enough to pick a constant favourite. Just my taste tend to wander.

Oh I can't resist:

Bother - Stonesour
Faint - Linkin Park
Don't stop me now - Queen
Gifts and Curses - Yellow card

There are others as well.
