Being so addicted to music I could not pick one.

Theme Song = Black In Black AC/DC
Funeral Song = Into The West Annie Lennox
D&D Song(s) = Piece of Mind album by Iron Maiden
Modern Gaming = Fear Is The Mindkiller album by Fear Factory

Does not include the Classical, Hip-hop, hardcore, ska, funk, etc
that makes up my collection of music. Iron Maiden was what I was
into when I started D&D, thus still holds fast as "D&D music" for me.

:)

My "into the grave" song: Lay me Low, by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

The first time I ever heard "Rock & Roll" by the Velvet Underground, I knew I need look no further. I have standing orders with loved ones to put "His life was saved by rock & roll" under my name on my headstone. How's that for "lay me in my grave"?

Should an epitaph really begin with "His Life Was Saved..."? :uhoh:

Just one song? I could never pick.

Perhaps it is the Ode to Joy by Beethoven. Perhaps it is Peter Gabriel's In Your Eyes. On occassions it is Don McLean's American Pie. And, yes, sometimes it is a lone pipe playing Amazing Grace.

I could never choose a single song. I think everyone should have a soundtrack for their life. I try to give people this background music in the form of tapes and cds.

But choose just one song?

Never.

It does my heart good to see two Queen songs named. :) The rendition of "Who Wants to Live Forever" that Seal did (and I'd never heard of him before that day) at the tribute concert to Freddie Mercury was absolutely soul-searing.

But, as for *my* favorites...because I just can't pick only one:
- "Owner of a Lonely Heart" by Yes
- "End of the Line" by the Traveling Wilburys
- "Turn to Stone" by Electric Light Orchestra

(Yes, I realize I sound old... :D )
