If stuff from Second edition's acceptable, then the Raiigs from Dark Sun. Clerics following gods who don't even acknowledge their very world, whose devotion is so intense that they continue their worship even beyond death.. for all eternity. The idea just kind of floored me the first time I saw it.

If not, then the scion of Kyuss just because its got those wonderfully nasty worms.

Easy to place into any level, can build in role playing concepts well.

Generic undead-.....no real favorite. All are deadly and fun under the correct conditions. I suppose vampires since their goal is not just to kill but to covert power and security in the process. Keeps Players guessing somewhat.
