Feat for a werebear

The Souljourner

First Post
I have a dwarven werebear/barbarian 1 (10th ECL) who is going to take a level of fighter next level, and I'm wondering what to take as his fighter feat.

Currently, he has the following feats:

Combat Reflexes
Large and In Charge (rocks!)
Multiattack
Iron Will (bonus as a lycanthrope)

He wears a breastplate and wields a dwarven war axe (both with the sizing enchantment - +1, standard action to resize).

Obviously, he's a melee guy, first and foremost. I've been considering power attack, because I seem to often be way over-hitting guys, but I do by far the most damage in the party anyway, so maybe something else would be good to round me out a little bit.

We're playing forgotten realms, so anything from there or another official WoTC source is cool.

How about Awesome Blow from the MM?

There's nothing like reliving the opening of Fellowship EVERY combat! ;)

Problems with Awesome Blow: Requires Power Attack and Improved Bullrush, which I don't have. Requires Improved Bullrush, which sucks. And requires a standard action... which means no secondary or iterative attacks (I'll get my first iterative attack next level too).

I do love the idea of it, but I'm just not sure it's worth the cost. If it didn't require Improved Bullrush, I'd be all over it.

Power Attack. Dwarven Waraxe is like a bastard sword after all; can swap between single- or two- handed operation as you see fit. Plus when you're a bear, you increased strength means you'll have plenty of to-hit bonuses to burn.

Sorry, didn't see dwarven waraxe.

Fighter feat: Improved Toughness (CW)---low hit points tend to be the bane of ECL races

Improved Initiative? Maybe? I like going first as a tank.

Any feat: Mage Slayer (MH)---casters can't cast defensively in your threat range. Best. Feat. Evar.
