The armor has the following properties:
- You gain an item bonus to Bluff and Intimidate checks equal to this armor’s enhancement bonus.
- You gain a +2 item bonus to all defenses against enemies under your Warlock’s Curse.

Staggering Weapon is in Adventurer's Vault.
It has the following properties:
- When you use a power with the weapon keyword that slides a target, you can add this weapon’s enhancement bonus to the number of squares the target slides.
- On a critical hit the target is knocked prone.

Improved Defenses is from Heroes of the Fallen Lands.
It's a feat that gives you +1 to non-AC defenses per tier.

Hmmm...no Dragon for me except for the hardcover. I'll have to look at the other stuff, although I'm still keen on a Pact Hammer.

Heh- on the front lines, I need to boost my AC, not my NADs!

Well...not so much front line, but definitely the guy keeping enemies from flanking the Fighter & WarPriest.

AC is a defense. It just isn't a non armour defense. If something gives you a bonus to 'defenses', then it includes AC ;)

As was pointed out, Improved Defenses seems to affect only NADs.
