Feat selection sugestions?

My character just reached 12th level (the first time I've ever had a character go this high), and I'm hesitant to choose my feat -- there's so many of them! So I would like some suggestions before I make my choice. Acceptable sources include WOTC books except those related to FR, Bastion Press/Oathbound, Green Ronin, Malhavoc, Netbook of Feats (4.2+ rating). Other OGL sources need to be approved by my group before being used.

Essential stats:
Campaign world: Oathbound
Race: Human
Class: Cleric 8/Thaumaturgist 3/Focus of the Fair* 1
* This is a prestige race from Oathbound focused on Charisma and communication

Feats: Divine Wisdom, Improved Turning, Quicken Spell, Scribe Scroll, Spell Focus (Conjuration)
Skill ranks: Concentration 15, Diplomacy 10, Heal 6, Knowledge-Geography 1, Knowledge-History 2, Knowledge-Religion 9, Knowledge-The Planes 5, Spellcraft 7
Misc: I have a fire mephit as a temporary planar ally

Party members: Dwarf barbarian/fighter, elf wizard/fighter, elf sorcerer, human rogue/ranger/initiate of the bow

There's a handy feat in the netbook of feats that allows you to cast domain spells using regular spell slots. In fact, I co-authored it. I don't have any reason to assume it's no longer in there.

Clerics do tend to suffer from a lack of good feats, though.

What is your character's style? do you buff up and get into melee(divine might with extra turning later, or extend spell for magic vestment type spells to be all day)? Stand back and summon or spell cast all day? Do you have time and money to take advantage of your item creation feats?

There is one in Complete Divine trading in turning attempts for spontaneous metamagic that is nice follow that with extra turning later.

There's really no need. The dwarf is a powerhouse that can grind almost anything in his path (his record is something like 200 points of dmg in 1 round).

Stand back and summon or spell cast all day?

That's pretty close to my style. I'm the support guy. About half my spells I prepare help the rest of the party (greater status, holy conduit, major resistance, prayer, mass lesser vigor, etc.) I have scrolls for more specialized defenses (break enchantment, restoration, etc.)

Do you have time and money to take advantage of your item creation feats?
Time, yes: we're using the craft point rules from UA. Money is the problem. My current available cash is about 800 gp. I could maybe triple that by selling extraneous scrolls. That's about it.

Right -- I remember that one. Every level boost costs 1 turn attempt. Since I only have Quicken Spell, that would wipe out my turn attempts for the day (Cha 13 = 4 turn attempts).... unless I put my ability increase in it instead of Wisdom. Hmm, I think I get more out of it where it is (a bonus 2nd and 6th level spell).

Show your DM the feat Beckon the Frozen, and ask to have a similar feat that works with the fire subtype instead of the cold subtype.

I think you already have the prereqs(you'll need to check), but it would make each of your summoned critters have the fire subtype and do +1d6 fire damage with each natural weapon hit. Or something relatively close to that, go check Frostburn.

If you've got that many sources, your DM should be allowing you more feats. IIRC, the designers balanced the feats given out vs. the number of feats in the PHB.

Just wanted to mention that Divine metamagic costs 1+number of levels bumped in turn attempts, so you'd actually need to bump charisma to use it with Quicken. The upside is that you don't actually need the metamagic feat it emulates so you could take Divine Metamagic:empower frinstance.;)

That sounds good. I'll have to check it out.

We don't have all of those books (I wish!) It's just that we found those publishers tend to put out reliable stuff*, so we can just go ahead and use it in our game without going through the approval process (the choice can still be vetoed once the group has seen it in use, however).

*the notable exception has been Complete Divine which was clearly rushed out the door without much review. For example...

I checked, and it was errata'ed: you do need the metamagic feat it's emulating.

I've had time to look through Complete Arcane and the NBoF, and I've narrowed down the field to:

- Call of the Flame [Beckon the Frozen]
- Dispel Mastery (from NBoF; I'm the one who created it -- would make sense I used it for my character ;-))
- Sudden Maximize (to boost cure spells, or searing light)
- Transdimensional Spell (we were almost wiped out by an annoying pack of wraiths a few levels back... I don't want to go through that again with spectres or ghosts)
- Craft Contingent Spell (which would allow me to cut back on the scroll-scribing)
