So why'd you put another thread here? Plenty of people have responded to the other one.

I don't like the arguments against the feat in there stating that it is too powerful, on the grounds that if favors higher HD classes. Duh. Don't you think Spell Focus favors classes with greater spellcasting ability? This is just on a wee bit larger scale. Maybe use one of the other ideas from that thread. Tone it down a little.

Other than that, it's a great idea. I always hated Toughness, until I (who am almost always DM in our group) decided to use the SWRPG Vitality Point/Wound Point system as a house rule in several of my D&D games. Then the split into Toughness and Quickness made things different. Toughness suddenly becomes very useful when a crit at the start of combat really could kill you, even at 20th-level.

at the time of this tread, there weren't that many responses, and while their input is greatly appreciated, most ofthe discussion is between three (or so) of us, and i'd hoped to get more opinions.

I've given it some thought, and I really think it needs to be toned down. Just my opinion as a gamer from the horrid days of 2nd Edition...
