Unfortunately my DM isn't using the optional 'flaws' rule in UA. However, I just want to say thanks to everyone who has helped me out here and if there are any other cool ideas, keep them coming.

I'll second Thanee's recommendation of Collegiate Wizard - the increase in spells you get at each level without having to spend money and time is really worth it. It provides you with a lot more diversity, which is critical being the only arcane caster.
Your free scribe scroll feat is going to be one of your best friends as a generalist. Use it to make scrolls of any spell you don't always want, but when you want it, you really really need it (knock and see invisible are a couple of examples). Also use it to prep a couple of extras of your combat spells so that when you've expended all of your spells, you still have some reserves to dig into.
