Pathfinder 1E Feats in Pathfinder

Love, Respect, Understanding
I've gotten hold of the Golarion setting (simply awesome sauce). The idea was to use my own rules with it. But I can't help thinking, why not use the Pathfinder rules, also, I keep seeing all the character options like prestige classes and feats etc. It looks very good.

But that's where the problems may lie.

I'd love to run Golarion with Pathfinder, but I'm wary of the feats. Are they cumbersome, are they more trouble than they're worth? People seem to be split between them, and I can't seem to find a well informed opinion of them.

To give a yardstick, I've run ad&d without a problem, also Warhammer 1st and 2ed, and Cthulhu.

Any info will help me make a decision.

Thanks all

If you stick with just Paizo Pathfinder books and maybe just limit the group to te main book you'll be fine. Feats are a bit different when you first encounter them in a rules set but they are good player tool.

Yep, I will echo what Crothian said.

Feats can be fun and useful for the player and even the GM's NPCs and critters. I think where feats start to get unwieldy is when there are too many available options. Pathfinder isn't quite there yet, but as a GM you can always limit them to just the core rulebook or core rulebook and APG or whichever sourcebooks you choose to allow.
