Feats to improve Aid Another?

Does anyone know of any feats designed to improve Aid Another? A player wants a bodyguard themed character. I've pondered two possible ones:

* +4 to hit/AC instead of +2
* Aid Another is an attack action instead of standard action

Balanced? Useful?

Here's what I would suggest...

IMPROVED AID ANOTHER
Benefit: When you use the Aid Another action in combat, you can make your attack roll against AC 15 to give a +4 bonus on your ally's attack roll or armor class.
Normal: When you use the Aid Another action in combat, you make an attack roll against AC 10. If you succeed, your ally gains either a +2 bonus on his next attack roll against an opponent that both you and your ally are adjacent to or a +2 bonus to AC against that opponent’s next attack (your choice), as long as that attack comes before the beginning of your next turn.

GREATER AID ANOTHER
Prerequisite: Improved Aid Another, BAB +6 or more.
Benefit: When you use the Aid Another action, it is a Move Action, rather than a Standard Action.

SUPERIOR AID ANOTHER
Prerequisite: Greater Aid Another.
Benefit: When you use the Aid Another action, you can grant the bonus to one additional ally that is adjacent to both you and the chosen opponent.

PERFECT AID ANOTHER
Prerequisite: Superior Aid Another.
Benefit: You can use the Aid Another action to grant a bonus to an ally as long as both he and the chosen opponent are within a number of feet equal to five plus five times your Intelligence Modifier (minimum 1). For instance, with an Intelligence score of 10, you could use the Aid Another action to grant a bonus to an ally if both he and his chosen opponent were within 10 feet of you.
Normal: You can only use the Aid Another action to grant a bonus to an ally so long as you and your ally are adjacent to the same opponent.

Since I like feat chains so much, I've editted in a couple more feats into this chain.

You should check the expanded aid another rules in the Complete adventurer, they are very nice.

Also, I like that Greater Aid Another feat, but I'd allow it without the other feat as a prequisite.

Like NexH said, Complete Adventurer has some expanded Aid Another rules. For a quick summary, for every 10 points which you beat the base 10 DC, you get a +1 on the Aid action. However you need 5 ranks in the skill, or +5 BAB to take advantage of this extra help.

There is an Improved Aid Another feat in Oriental Adventures which makes it give +4 instead of +2 (only on attack/AC, though, not on skills).

This is what I use in my game:

Improved Aid Another [general]
You are better at aiding others in combat.
Prerequisite: Wisdom 13+, Combat Reflexes
Benefit: When using the aid another action you can choose to make your attack roll against DC 20 in order to grant the person you are aiding +4 to their attack roll or AC (your choice decided before the roll). However, once declared, if you miss against AC 20 the person to be aided gains no benefit.
Normal: The attack roll is made against AC 10 and the person to be aided only gains a +2 bonus to their attack roll or armor class.
