Well, when we end up pointing guns in each others' faces (and we will), out of character I promise not to shoot you. :D

By the way, I've edited my earlier post with Jack's stats and a little bit on his physical appearence. So I'm all set.

now they never shoot each other in such scenes. Not to mention I make it a habbit not to shoot at other pcs ;)

Another Feng Shui Game! Awesome!

Count me in as well. I'm trying out a different kind of character this time around, since I'm not too crazy about bringing One Eye and his .357 back.

Since I was introduced to HK gunflicks through THE KILLER, I'm trying out a Triad assassin this time around:

Jadefinger Long, Killer
Juncture: Contemporary

MELODRAMATIC HOOK: Jadefinger wanted to keep his son Victor out of the Triads. He paid for Victor's college education in America with the money that he made from the hits he carried out. But when Jadefinger visited his son's dorm one terrible night, he made a grim discovery that confirmed his worst fears: a disassembled sniper rifle and a small fortune in various currencies in a hidden closet compartment. Only one question remains in Jadefinger's mind now: Who put my son on the road to hell?

ATTRIBUTES:
Bod 7
Chi 0
Mnd 5 (Per 6)
Ref 8

SKILLS:
Deceit: 10
Driving: 13
Guns: 15
Info/Gangland Politics: 8

GUN SCHTICKS:
Hair Trigger Neck Hairs
Fast Draw x3
Signature Weapon (H&K USP)

WEAPONS:
H&K USP (signature) 13/2/15+1
Mossberg Special Purpose 13^/5/9
UZI Submachine Gun 10/4/32 (see note)
Stoner SR-25 Sniper Rifle 13**/5/20
Colt M-16 Assault Rifle 13*/5/30
^ +1 bonus damage if you spend a shot to dramatically go KA-CHINK!
* takes out mooks on an Outcome of 4 or more.
** takes out mooks on an Outcome of 3 or more.

WEALTH LEVEL: Rich

note: I don't know why they gave the UZI a 40-round clip in the FS rulebook -- everything I've read about the thing says that it uses 32-round clips, so I just made a minor tweak.

Also, the Stoner. It's a sniper rifle that looks much like an M-16, only there's a scope in place of the top handle and it uses .308 bullets. Jadefinger uses this when a job calls for him to hit someone from a long way off.

EDIT: changed Jadefinger's Perception score from 8 to 6 -- must have hit the wrong fraggin' key...

I seem to remember one scene in THE KILLER, right before the big beach house shootout, where Inspector Li (the Maverick Cop) has Jeff (the Killer) at gunpoint in the beach house, but Jeff hasn't drawn his gun yet.

Jeff sees a mook through the window behind Li getting ready to wax them both, and he whips out his gun to fire at the mook, but Li thinks Jeff's drawing on HIM (because they're still enemies at that point in time) and fires. Gets him in the arm if I recall correctly.

Kane always showed a great deal of promise, though to the wrong people; his childhood criminal stunts attracted both Yakuza and Triad attention, and both tried to recruit him. He thought he'd managed to play them off each other until a couple months ago. Trying a major caper with a group of similarly talented freelancers (a la Ocean's Eleven), he found himself the only one left alive, all of his teammates either vanished or cleanly killed. Thinking he recognized Yakuza work, and certain that his survival was only a momentary oversight, he fled Honshu to Hong Kong, trying to go to ground.
Something tells me Jadefinger and Kane are going to have quite the tense relationship with each other -- Kane will be understandably edgy and paranoid around any Triad types (and Jadefinger is definitely a Triad member, even if he's semi-retired because of the whole mess with his son), and Jadefinger may not like Kane for whatever reason (not to mention the fact that his Triad may have been on the receiving end of one of Kane's scams and hasn't gotten wise yet).

Still, it should be a while before Jadefinger's Triad does get wise and puts out a contract on Kane. And since Jadefinger will have fought alongside Kane for a while and grown to like the guy before that happens, it'll provide a nice moral dilemma as Jadefinger is forced to choose between his loyalties.

Bi Jiao Mao AKA 'Kami'

Where did it all go wrong?

Sure, from time to time a man cheat to get ahead, it's the nature of the game. But cheating isn't how a man wins, it's knowing how to play. And I wasn't cheating...that time.

As one of the world's best and most successful gamblers, Jiao is on the high rollers list at dozens of Casinos. He's treated to the best food, best rooms, best women, for where he goes, so does the action. Sometimes, too much action. You see, Jiao truly does live in interesting times. He has an uncanny knack for being at the wrong place at the right time. He's been kidnapped, held hostage during a bank robbery, and been attacked by rival players more times than he can count. Left to his own devices, he'd just ride these occasions out and wait for the calvary to arrive, but fate has a peculiar interest in Jiao, and always twists circumstances to that Jiao feels he must get involved.

Despite all attempts to poison it with drugs and hard living, Jiao still has a conscience, and cannot abide anyone threatening an innocent, much less harming one. So, Bi Jiao Mao has single handedly foiled all manner of nefarious deed, just because of the innocent people being caught in the way.

But that's not really what got Jiao in trouble...not real trouble. You see, for the last month or so, Jiao has been a hunted man. While in Monaco, Jiao was playing some Mah Jong with some rather pleasant fellows with rather deep pockets. He could tell the men were getting frustrated with loosing and was preparing to call it a night, when a pleasant young woman accidently spilled the Saki bottle she was setting before one of his opponents. This 'gentleman' apparently infuriated by her clumsiness, struck her with a powerful backhand, his ring deeply scoring her cheek. Even before the waitress had struck the floor, Jiao had arisen, demanding an apology on behalf of the woman. To make a long story short, 2 minutes later, 2 men were dead, 2 more needed to be hospitalized, and Jiao was holding a towel to a gunshot wound in his side, trying to staunch the bleeding as he fled Monaco.

He's since learned that the men he scuffled with were Chinese Tong, one of whom was the son of an underboss, a son who came out of the hospital with a taste for vengeance.
