"And you better do some good convincing with this boss of yours to get us to come along. If not, I'll find a way to do it myself...you know, American-style."
One Eye rolls his good eye at Dennis's "American-style" comment.

"I'm in charge of the cowboy antics in this precinct, thank you very much."

With that, One Eye walks off toward the captain's office.

One eye walks into the office and closes the door. The camera view stays int the main room with all the people doing their various things. After a bit, some yells start coming throught the door. The few understandable phrases that come out are things like "YOU LET HIM GET AWAY??!!?!" and "ABSOLUTELY NOT"

It seems things aren't going well.

One Eye emerges from the office a short time after (slamming the door I suppose?)

Edge sit twiddling his thumbs while the noise comes through the door. Then picks something to read before, almost immediately, dropping it. He has spent days in a tree, under the rain watching his prey, and never felt so bored like now, specially when he knows where to go.

He holds a card in front of One Eye:

************
*..................*
*..SO WHAT?..*
*..................*
************

After exiting the captain's office and slamming the door (and yes, that was just for you, Corlon! :D), One Eye heads back to where the four others are waiting.

One Eye lets out an exasperated sigh. "Well, Dennis, it looks like you got your wish. Captain was already pissed at me for gunning those three guys down, but when I mentioned that the guy with the glowing hand got away and that his men had taken Yun Chen, the guy went ballistic, and after that, the conversation went downhill.

"Not only did he turn down my offer to let you guys accompany me on a rescue mission, but I'm looking at suspension at the very least, and he's threatened -- for the thousandth f**king time -- to bust me down to traffic cop if I don't get her back. Sometimes I wonder why the hell I even bother talking to that hothead.

"I'm going to check out what info Jack and Max got from those guys we trashed, and then we're coming up with a plan. We don't have much time."

OOC: I'm going to see what info Jack and Max have from the mooks.

Police roll: 9 + 3 (Blue) - 1 (Orange) = 11

"Hey man, don't sweat it," Dennis says consolingly to One Eye. "It's your boss' job to make sure you follow the rules. Now, on the flip side, it's your job to get the bad guys. I'm sure if we can settle this matter, your boss won't have any choice but to let a few little violations slide."

"Just let me know when you're ready to go bust into the temple. I'll go get the bird."

"The captain and I don't see eye to eye on a lot of things, Dennis. My methods are far more...direct...than he would like them to be. He wishes that I'd work more within the system, but I lost faith in that system long ago -- and I am not about to turn my back on those I swore to serve and protect."

OOC: I have a whole speech planned out for One Eye detailing exactly why he's sick of the system and why he acts like a maverick instead of a regular cop, but I think that in the movies, that kind of stuff is usually reserved for later in the flick, after the really bad s**t has gone down.

OOC: I'm still waiting for the outcome of the Police roll I made in the post where One Eye comes back from the captain's office and explains the situation to the others.

What does One Eye get out of the mooks?

[If we already know what temple we are looking for, nothing but to go there. However, Edge is not going to walk to the main door; he has better ways to get into.]
