Festival of Halina (Orsal Judging)

"Some fun" is just what Oirhandir had on his mind, and he was pleased that the night was going so well. "Well, milady, then we shall go and enjoy the sights there", declared the bard. Mindful of his employment with Ingus, he continued, "At least until I have to get back to my duties."

Scarlet and Oirhandir took leave of their companions and headed toward the west field.

OOC:[sblock]Again, Oirhandir will make it back to Ingus's camp in time to earn his 10 gp, although he will stretch his time with Scarlet as much as possible. He plans on escorting her back to Lord Valdor's camp once their evening is done, but if he ends up running all the way from Lord Valdor's camp back to Ingus's camp so that he can "clock in" on time, so be it.[/sblock]
Scarlet and Oirhandir make their way to the west field. Festive music is playing, and freefolk as well as others are enjoying a festive dance. The beer is flowing freely, and laughter abounds. With barely time to gather their surroundings, Scarlet and Oirhandir are drawn into the dance, which is something of a combination of a line dance and a partners dance. Tenitive at first, both Scarlet and Oirhandir seem to catch on. With the beer flowing, the dancing is far from crisp, it it is quite entertaining. The music seems to continue without end, and mugs flow onto the dance flow as more and more people join in the dance.

Soon, Scarlet and Oirhander find it is late in the eve. Both tired, and perhaps a bit tipsy, the sit down for a rest. Scarlet smiles at Oirhandir "You do sure know how ta show a woman a fine time."

"Wow, any wizard can use any of these scrolls? That's so neat!--Its like a special secret code that all the wizards share together so they can help each other do magic...Too bad there's nothing like that for me."

(OOC: The best hotels had free internet access in Turkey, while some requires something like 3 or 4 YTL per hour :()

"All wizardry comes from the same basis, so most of it is easily translatable, also by preforming an additional and somewhat expensive ritual I'll be able to write them into my spell book and prepare them as needed" Elise speaks proudly. An ego boost prevalent everytime her craft is admired

OOC: [sblock]Whats the currency exchange bettween the dollar and a YTL, or does YTL mean something else... like pints of blood :uhoh: [/sblock]

"Wow, I thought I remembered you saying that before. That's the most absolutely amazing thing of all. Only the truly legendary among those who can manipulate the Zivaash are able to accomplish such a feat, and it costs significant personal energy to do so."

(OOC:[SBLOCK]A YTL is 1,000,000 Turkish Lira, and there are about 1.3 of those to a dollar.[/SBLOCK])

"Elise continues talk relating many things as she was taught, not getting too far when she relises she was kinda droning on much like some of her professors "...and those are just some of the many uses of the grease spell" Elise grimaces and pauses "I'm sorry, I know all this can't be that interesting"

OOC:[sblock] there's alot of zero's in that 70 cents or so[/sblock]

OOC: You know, there's something about two women talkign about various uses of the grease spell :p

"No, on the contrary--it is quite fascinating; I could listen to you teaching me about these things for hours and still it would be exciting! In the back of my mind, I also think that maybe if I can learn from you, it will help lead me to deeper understanding of myself--just like when two wizards share a scroll, except a bit different because we are more different..."

(OOC:[SBLOCK]Heh, yeah--that's why the made the YTL (known as the Turkish New Lira, or the Yertle by me): too many zeros. As for the Grease spell--it's almost as fun as a barrel full of monekys![/SBLOCK])

Oirhandir doubted that Scarlet could have said anything that would have pleased him more. "It's easy with the right woman", he grinned, "and there's no woman at this entire festival that I'd rather be with right now than you."

He sighed. How could a moment be so pleasant and so frustrating at the same time? "I wish I could spend all evening with you", he continued. "Forget about Ingus and his caravan, and just spend the whole night dancing, and talking, and enjoying the sight of the prettiest elf in all of Covington. Had I known you were here, I'd have never agreed to watch his wagons at night, no matter how much he offered." He paused, then sighed again.

"Well, duty calls", he grinned sardonically. "May I at least have the pleasure of escorting you back to your camp? It's been a lovely day, and I can't think of a better way to end it than with my arm around you, keeping you warm as night falls." He put his arm around her to demonstrate, drawing her into a warm embrace.

OoC: [sblock]Hello again all, sorry to have dropped on you for a bit. August was very hectic for me... anyhow, if you look to the left, you'll see that I have a new location; hence why August was very hectic. Things are still sort of in limbo at the moment, so please don't expect frequent posts, but I will try to hit this place at least once a day now.

This message will be replaced with something IC shortly, as soon as I get caught up again.

Edit: At the moment, it doesn't appear there is anything I need to respond to (Bront fast-forwarded things, which I have no problems with whatsoever, since my absence was sudden and unannounced). However, as I mentioned, I will be checking in (hopefully) at least once a day, definitely at least once every two days, to ensure that I'm keeping up with the game.

My apologies for my prior absence. Hopefully it didn't mess things up too badly.[/sblock]

OOC: Feel free to finish out the RP with the sheriff if you want, not that it will take long, otherwise, it's safe to assume you managed to survive the day :) Welcome back.
