fey adversaries (heroic-tier)

Quickleaf

Legend
I'm looking to include a bunch of fey in my upcoming campaign, and in particular the types listed below. Anyone familiar with these fey have ideas about how to reskin other monsters to create these adversaries? Or if they've already been homebrewed by someone? Or ideas for creating a new monster from scratch?

Dark Ferryman, fey version of the marraenoloth
Headless Horseman
Perchten, Wild Huntsman
Redcap (I was thinking of basing it off the orc?)
Selkie
Sluagh

Ones I've completed so far:
Grigs - new monster
Troll - reskinned as fey oathbinders

I'd make the headless horseman two enemies; the horsman himself and his mount. The mount could just be a warhorse with some kind of template added on, or perhaps just a reskinning, to make it undead.
I'm not sure about the horseman himself. Do you want him to do the thing where he throws the burning Jack-O-Lantern? I guess that could be an area-burst?

Really? I'd think for design simplicity to do it as one stat block? Why would you do it as two enemies?
I guess the horseman was technically undead, but he sort of straddles the undead and the ghostly fey categories. Maybe undead fey?

Hey, I'd forgotten about that, but yes burning Jack-O-Lanterns. I'm thinking he'll be a level 5 to 8 skirmisher, does that seem right?

Goodman Games has put out a cache of fey monsters.

Among them are Red Caps.
That is awesome, thanks Rechan! Just what I was looking for!

Question for you, Quickleaf: do you have access to the Monsternomicon?
No, that's a 3rd edition product? Are there lots of fey in there?

Remind me what a Sluagh is?
Hmm, technically they're undead - unwelcome in heaven, hell, or the Otherworld - who flew in flocks and tried to enter homes to steal dying peoples' spirits. I think the Changeling RPG reimagined them as sinister secret-keepers skulking the sewers (there's some alliteration for you!)

Actually, I haven't looked to see if it has fey in it; I haven't looked at it in a while.

However, the thing is chocked full of lore. There's also a few monsters of note: a Ferryman, and a Rusalka. Both are easily reskinnable as fey.

I'm also reminded of a legendary monster from Ravenloft; I think he was a faerie. He was a demented Santa Clause - he dragged a sack behind him, and wore read. He would kick in your door, and steal your face, tossing it into his sack. This left a blank slate behind. The effected victim would soon die.

Another creature I have an idea for: a shadow stealer. Just what the name implies - it steals your shadow. If your shadow is stolen, they have influence over you.

That Fey Cache by Goodman Games rocks! The pooka (faerie horse) looks especially fun with its teleporting hoof attacks.

Sounds great, I'll keep an eye out.

Interesting. I worked up a creature similar to the gebbeth from Ursula K. LeGuin's Earthsea books, called it a "khaiyal" (based on etruscan word for 'shadow'), and it has a similar power only keyed to one person.
