Looking at doing Fey-like things, but in a 2e/homebrew setting. Looking for ideas, thoughts, suggestions and guidance. Freebie modules to examine (pillage for ideas), etc.

Not freebie.
Might have usable ideas.
Needs conversion from BECMI.

I think you'd get more response if you gave us a longer summary of what you are thinking. Like, why do you want to do "fey things" and what is your existing inspiration (your "Appendix N" if you would like). For example, are you more Spiderwick Chronicles or Brothers Grimm. Is this Darbie O'Gill and the Little People or Carnival Row? And do you want PC's as Fey or the PC's interacting with Fey? Do you want to set this in a normal world or would it be entirely set within Fairie?

This.

You’re probably going to want access to The Complete Book of Humanoids at the bare minimum, and possibly Planescape as well.

I’d also think you’d want to incorporate some kind of pact/oath-based magical deals, possibly up to the inclusion of Fey Pact Warlocks.

I'd suggest finding a book on folk tales or a dictionary of fairy tales, I've been looking through a couple of dictionaries for my Dolmenwood campaign and they are loaded with ideas that should be fairly easy to turn into encounters for any version of DnD.
