AD&D 2E Fey, but Old Skool

Looking at doing Fey-like things, but in a 2e/homebrew setting. Looking for ideas, thoughts, suggestions and guidance. Freebie modules to examine (pillage for ideas), etc.
Dragon Magazine #155 from 1990 had an article called The Folk of the Faerie Kingdom. Should plug into your game without too much modification:

Left field: Fey are both chaotic and lawful. They love pranks, mischief and discord. But they’re also fans of making deals, and will honor them…though they may be prone to twisting words & interpretations.

So for more ideas on that chaotic element, consider the legends of trickster gods, or the lords of Chaos in the works of Michael Moorcock.

And, of course, look at the stories of genies and their ilk for how fey might make & break deals.

Heh. Just realized fey:mortal interactions are like CRPG player:NPC interaction where the players skip all the cut scenes and dialog to get to the decision points.
This is how you get into trouble with the fey, you skip the cut scenes. All of a sudden you owe them two fingers and part of your aunt's recurring dream about cheese puffs.
