Honestly I would rule that eladrin don'tremainbound if they were priorto teleportaion. Thats because the PHB specifically states that eladrin can use tport to escape a grab/grapple; if they can do that, why can't they escape static bonds.

And their clothes stay with them because they choose to. If they want they can teleport in the nude (i.e. teleport out of their clothes...like medieval spawn! :D)

Lastly the blindfold idea sounds good, since they cannot see where they are tporting.

Just give them an Arcana check if they try. If they fail, throw them somewhere deep into the Feywild..oops. They took the whole party with them.

Because people aren't made of rope.

Of course, that means that doors can't have keyholes or sentry slits - any way to peek lets the Teleporter in. Windows too, etc.

Whyever not? Just put flaps on the other side of them!

Does 4e still have an Invisibility spell that's castable on objects? If so, just make the door invisible and you'll have line of sight to the other side.

Oh, I also have a question about Fey Step even though it's not like the OP.

Suppose an Eladrin is riding an Unicorn (MM p.257), what happens when:

A) Eladrin uses his Fey Step? Does the Unicorn (or any other mount for that matter) stands where it were, or does it get teleported with the Eladrin?

B) Unicorn uses it's Fey Step? Does the Eladrin (or any other rider for that matter) falls to the ground, or does he/she get teleported along with the Unicorn?

I ask this because there are no rules for limit of stuff you can carry along when you teleport (not that i've seen at least). Not on page 286 of the PHB (Teleportation, which Fey Step refers to). Even though Dimension Door clearly states on it's description "You can't take other creatures with you".

How about a small mirror under the door? I would vote just because you can see something, you do not have line of sight, so I would not allow this to work, but I know some PCs will work very hard to use it.

Casting invisibility on a door seems like an interesting idea and a good solution when the payoff is worth the resource.
