First Post
REDLINE RPG
Play a grim road warrior, a clever techie, a feral child, or a barbaric 'zerker in the cutting-
edge, fuel-injected, post-apocalyptic world of Redline, the first in Fantasy Flight Games'
Horizon line of d20 mini-games. Scrape all the salvage, wit, and bullets you can as you
scream across desert highways and access "guzzlines" to fuel your vehicles and stay on
the move to keep ahead of bandits, the red dust, and Mr. Death himself! Scheduled to
ship in July 2003.
FFG HR-01 $14.95
this sounds wicked cool in a Mad Max / Fallout / Roadwar 2000 / Wasteland / Damnation Alley kinda way. :)

one question: is it going to be a stand-alone d20 game, based on the PHB, or based on d20 Modern?

Even better (and this will completely decide whether I order it or not), will it be compatable with D&D and d20 Modern established rulesets, or will it require more variant rules? (i.e. I want to use something like this for my "Exiles" campaign, and don't want to have to adjust too many rules concepts).

Thanks
Chris

C'mon you guys from Fantasy Flight. We know you guys have all kinds of stuff listed with the distributors that you're keeping awfully quiet on. Throw us a bone here.

We want to know about Redline. For that matter, how about Sorcery & Steam, Citycraft, and Portals and Planes?

If the Horizon series is compatable with other d20 games and rules, I'll be buying every single one of them. It'll give me more gaming fodder for my Exiles group. I want my players to have lots of options, but not at the expense of the other players. So far I'm allowing D&D, d20 modern, Star Wars, and BESM d20. Oh, and the V for VICTORY d20 mini-game in Dungehedron. The only adjustments is to make hit points standard, lower the gun damage in Star Wars by 1 die.

*kicks this back to the top of the board again, hoping that someone from FFG will answer*

I've got to have my order in by Wednesday... :p

Thanks

Hmmm, still no additional info. Guess everyone is busy. : )
Well let's do some speculation, at only $14.95 it can't be big enough to be all inclusive so it must depend upon either the Players Handbook or d20 Modern to "finish out" the basics. I don't recall any FFG announcements about supporting d20 Modern (although I could have easily missed them) so I am speculating Redline will tie in with 3e, especially since that's what their Dragonstar rules already do. I'd prefer it be d20 Modern but I should still be able to use some stuff from it for my d20 Modern P.A. Campaign.

Brutorz Bill

Good speculation. Though Polyhedron can cram all-new uncompatable mechanics into a d20 mini-game, hopefully Horizon won't. The less conversion for me to make a unified system, the better. :D

While it seems a bit overpriced, the 15 dollar 64 page books are pretty good. I plan on buying all of the "* Lore" books, and the "School of *" books.

Thanks
Chris
