Legendary? As in Epic Level stuff? Or as in an FFG buzzword for -kewler than our competition-?

No, they are basicly a diffirent approach to prestige classes. Instead of have fixed abilities earned at each level, you have a list that you can chose from. Each ability can be chosen only once and is affected by what level you chose it. Higher level you chose a power the more powerfull it is. Once chosen is power level is set and can't be changed so you have to plan your version carefully.

Both of the Path books are on my "must buy" list but every time I go into the store, something else catches my eye. Stuff that isn't even on my "must buy" list keeps bumping these two... I don't know what's wrong with me!

I think part of the problem is that I feel as if my playing time is waning and DMing is on an upswing...

(I hate that.)
