A very bizarre collection now I think about it:

The entire run of (20!) ‘Lone Pine’ books by Malcolm Saville (hearking back to my childhood).
The entire run of Harry Potter.
Feersum Enjinn & Use of Weapons by Ian M Banks
Whit by Ian Banks
Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott
The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
Dracula by Bram Stoker
The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins
The Pale Horse and Third Girl by Agatha Christie (the Pale Horse is (IMO) one of her best, Third Girl isn’t).
The Maltese Falcon by Dashiel Hammett
Wintersmith & Making Money, by Terry Pratchett
The entire Grant Morrison run of Doom Patrol

Lots of nonfiction. Some of the fiction I recall reading over the past year:

What We Talk About When We Talk About Love, Raymond Carver
Watchmen, Alan Moore
The Dead Fish Museum, Charles D'Ambrosio
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, Phillip K. Dick
The Winter Queen, Boris Akunin
Daisy Miller, Henry James
The Conquering Sword of Conan, Robert E. Howard
The Aeneid, Virgil
The Devil in the White City, Erik Larson
Dreamsongs, George R.R. Martin

I'm pretty much in the book-a-week club.

Highpoints for this year have included Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars trilogy, a re-read of Jonathon Strange & Mr Norrell, and the whole of the Sherlock Holmes canon. There were no game- or show-based books in this count.

And my non-fiction (for personal interest) count is also pretty high ...

Lemme see...

Harry Potter 6, 1, 2, 3, (I know weird order)
Stephen King, Duma Key.
Multiple non-fiction books

And then i started playing 360 with Gears 2, Dead Space and Fallout 3 all at once, and i haven't thought about reading a book since.

Man it's sad... I haven't had enough time to read. Or more correctly I ahven't devoted enough tiem to reading this year. Only 5 books. :(

Neil Gaimen- American Gods
Neil Gaimen- Anansi Boys
William Gibson- Pattern Recognition
William Gibson- Spook Country
Can't Remember- Spin Control

I'll have to read more in 2009. :)
