It should be available for Direct Order in about a week, and should be in stores in early March, alongside the print version of Counter Collection 4e: Heroic 1 (all Heroic-tier creatures in heavy cardstock, with a "Bloodied" flip side, also US$39.95). In fact, CC4eH1 will have a couple of Dungeon Dressing tiles as a bonus for those fans who already have the PDF version.

Is the 4E electronic version going to be more printer friendly than your 3E version?

If you're talking about Counter Collection 4e, it's already available for the Heroic and Epic tiers (Paragon coming in the next two weeks). All monsters are organized by level, and the pages are Letter-sized.

Ouch. That's a lot. This looks pretty useful and I'm sure the cost of producing all of that stuff is high, but that's a good chunk to lay out for this. Although, I've spent $30 a lot on books that I look at twice and throw on the shelf. This would get heavy usage every week, so maybe it's a good investment.

Look at it this way, instead of spending hundreds, even thousands, getting a bunch of plastic mini's in limited number, you gain the ability to make a bunch of cool counters in an unlimited fashion for $30.

I found it very worth it in 3E, then again I am not a mini's addict, so I didn't have aproblem using cardboard, flat counters, rather than 3-D plastic mini's.

Well, at least it's not "slaad" becoming "salad" in the 3e Tome of Horrors...

One thing I'd like to highlight about the BattleBox: There are male and female counters of EVERY race/class combination in the PH. And they all have a "bloodied" flipside. And if stand-ups are your thing, you can use the plastic bases that come with the BBox (originally intended to hold up condition markers) to hold your counters upright.

And hey, how cool is it to flip a round counter labeled "1 Action Point" at a player and say "Here, have an Action Point"?*

* Rat Bastard DMs can use the above example, replacing "Action Point" with "Failed Death Save". :evil:
