Actually, it's from the new Class Essentials series, which is different from Class Acts. The download page needs errata. It isn't a preview. The article is from the Class Acts series. That being said, changes are still made at times from the single article to the compiled issue of Dragon so we'll still have to wait and see what it ends up being.
DBs get a boost to Charisma. Why is it better for DBs?
It depends on party. In my group, one character is a Spiked Chain fighter who has the stance that gives him Threatening Reach for an encounter, and obviously gets a ton of OAs while that is up.
It's the Utility Power that you can swap if you take the Spiked Chain multiclass.Out of curiosity, what stance is that? I don't recall seeing something like that, and it'd be great for a character I'm building.

Ask yourself: why do Fighters want Wisdom?
Cheers, -- N
Ah. That's why I missed it; never been a huge spiked chain fan.
Well, poo. I want that for other weapons.![]()
I believe the utility power from the Polearm Master paragon path is what you want. The wording is a little weird, but it's basically the same as threatening reach.
That's definitely closer, but still not quite what I was hoping for in terms of this particular character (who's a warden, not a fighter). But I do appreciate you reminding me of this one, since it does fit other characters I want to create.![]()
