Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls Question

Anyone here play the updated FF1 and 2: Dawn of Souls? I'm having trouble getting to the Tiamat battle--for some reason, I can't touch the crystal atop the Flying Fortress to activate the battle.

Help me, Enworlders. You're my only hope.

I've beaten FF1 (both DoS and orignal) numerous times, and I've never encountered this problem. Are you saying that when you stand right in front of the green sphere should become the final fiend, nothing happens? In that case, I'm afraid you've got a glitched copy or save file. Other than that, I really have no idea what it could be.

Hey Otto,
Yeah--when I try to touch the green gem, I can't get near it. I was wondering if I missed something, but I really don't think so. Maybe I'll just start the Fortress again and re-save?
