Final words...

Zook looks down at his hands in disbelief " WOW! I did not know I had it in me!! then, after a moment the pain sets in "But damn that hurt!! And watch those slaps to the back you ould knock a gnome over liek that ! He says with a large playful grin on his face

Replying to Rethlin he comments " Well I m nearly certain that if given another shot i could get him." he smilesa big gnomish smile "After all, enchantment is my specialty. However, I do not want to spend too much time here. I fear that the law may be after our collective tail and staying in one spot for too long is just a bad idea. I say if we are staying anywhere we find a different. Then ,of course, we have the ghastly little predicament with our glass-jawed captive over there. He can identify us and weh ave been calling each other by name. What other facts do we have? I fear we may need more information fro mthe crime scene like where the crossbowmen went and which direction did the cab go in. At very least these triple bolts look very distinctive. I think we can manage without our mook if we have to "

" That said, I am all for switching venuesand trying him again later, I simply fear that we were seen fleeignthe scene, especially since our devout followe ro fthe flame over there is hard to hide, what with his divine radiance and all."

The watch closes in, shouting for you to get down on the ground.

Rethlin: "Well spoken, Master Zook. Let us find another Inn to accomodate our friend for the day. We can then search out Fletchers whom might know something about this three-bladed crossbow bolt. By morning we will be ready to interrogate this thug some more."

Ambra looks thoughtful. "I guess... there's really not much else we can do. I have a little power left in me, but if we're planning to do anything dangerous tonight... well I don't like being defenceless." She leans in closer to her companions, so that the mook won't overhear. "Well other than that we do have the vision from the Final Messenger itself. It said something about black scrolls, that and a number... 'VI 459 L4' I think. It might mean an address or a code, I'm quite sure. The L could stand for 'level' but then..."

Trying to make sense of 'VI 459 L4' (1d20+7=15) , could 'VI 459' be an address within Sharn or some other obvious feature? (ooc: memories of the Forgotten Forge make me think 'valve intake' or somesuch, but Ambra has no basis for that conclusion)

"I'm not sure that trailing from place to place, carting an unconscious body, is going to do anything to make us less conspicuous," Kae says wryly. "Here seems about as good as anywhere, if we're going to turn in for the night."

"That sounds reasonable to me Kae" Rethlin responds. "We can rest now, finish the interrogation as soon as we are able, then go hunt down other leads after that."

OOC: either way is fine with me. Let's decide and go with it. Resting now will work well since we won't have to worry about keeping the mook secured all day.

Zook shrugs " Well i suppose we can stay here for the night. I do liek thei dea of goingto fletchers to see who may have purhcased these bolts. i am no good at procuring information but withthe present danger think we shouldall stick together. Therefore, let us rest here for the night and finish interrogating him in the morning, then follow up on the rest of our leads."

At the Inn

For the record, the mook will wake up in about an hour. Someone might want to restrain him before then.

Ambra, the number does not recall any feature of Sharn.
It does, however, sound like a library call number.

Rethlin tears strips from the Mook's clothing to bind and gag him. "We'll keep a watch through the night to make sure he doesn't try to escape."
