Final words...

Zook, upon recalling the letters and numbers mentioned earlier strikes upon the books and library call numbers. Oh, the library, the simple unadulterated joy in cataloguing all knowledge there is to gather. The sweet organization of it all knowing where to find everything and the purpose of all that surrounded him. Those were the days, I could have lived a full life in the Korranberg library. Then again, the excitement of the world was growing on him. Spells are so much more fun to use than to study. Yes, to the library I will get to return and solve tihs mystery with the vast knowledges of the worlds to access!!

Zook moves himself into the other bedroom and just before bed he suggests that he and Rethlin interrogate the mook now so that, if push comes to shove we can leave quickly. " We could even play a little good cop bad cop. If I make him think I have a little more magic in me or another solid uppercut in these bones. he'll talk. What do you say?"

"Absolutely, Master Zook, let us have another try at it." Rethlin replies. "Although perhaps you should play the role of 'bad cop'." he says with a wink. Returning to the Mook Rethlin pulls out the gag. "Now then sir, we tire of this game. Tell us about your employers and where they can be found. Our magic will make you tell us everything, so why delay any further?"

Interrogation...again

The mook glares up at Rethlin defiantly, but when Zook raises a hand to scratch his chin, he sings like a canary.
A stupid cowardly canary, but a canary nonetheless.

He is a loyal subject of Karnath, may she return triumphant. He is a proud soldier of the Emerald Claw, may it claw out your stinking Brelander hearts!
(Zook raises his hand again.)

"Whimper, whimper, not the gnome! Please, not the gnome!"

The stinking bloodless Warforged dared to obstruct the rightful resurgence of the glorious Karnathi empire, and was slain for his insolence, as will all the bloodless, and the stunted swine of the Mror holds and the treacherous dogs of Zhilargo and the...

"Whimper, whimper, not the gnome! Please, not the gnome!"

His master is Manticore, the bestial bringer of death, whom no quarry can evade and who even now sharpens a bolt for each of your eyes.
He will remain true to his warrior oaths and tell you no more! Slay him if you will, but even in death he will serve the Karnathi Empire.

(Zook raises his hand to scratch his ear.)

"We get our orders at an apartment in the Cogs! It's the third apartment up over the McCallack Brothers Forge! That's all I know, I swear! Please don't let the gnome eat my brain!!"

You do get them tracked down and will arrive at an appropriate time.
Right now you're a little ahead of them.

" I can do without brain....tonight!!" Zook storms out of the room and walk over to the ladies room to inform them of what happened and asks what we should do with the mook, suggesting we stay the ngiht here and high tail it early in the morning.

'Looks like your new friends do have their uses after all. I guess some minds are better cracked with a blunt instrument' Brye observes dryly.

Ambra however is focusing more on the series of numbers she memorised than on the interrogation.

"'That code... it really doesn't sound like anywhere I've heard of but I can't quite shake the feeling I've seen it somewhere bef- wait, that time at Morgrave... it could be a library code, either for the university library or a more private collection. I may... I mean, if none of our other leads turns up anything I may see if Morgrave University has any texts or specimins with that number. Um, what do you think?"

Zook's eyes brighten up with evisceral glee at the suggestion " I would love to peruse the annals of the Morgrave University library. In fact when all this is over I may go there anyway. However, it would appear that we have several other solid leads to go off of as well. We could put it to a vote but I would be in favor of searching the library first so that we may go into this forge as informed as possible. However, we also must act swiftly or else lose the trail. I have no gift for strategy but I would say that unless it becomes clear that our suspects are not going anywhere we should go after them before they can escape, and simply not interrogate until we get more information. Additionally, we cannot split up. The Emerald claw is involved and the last thing we need is us disappearing!"

Should we assume that the party yield's to Kae's sleeping arrangements?
Is anyone guarding the mook, or are you leaving him in the small room with his shame and tears?

Yes being a caster myself I leave her to her sleep and promprtly retire to my quarters. Whether the mook escapes is irreevant. However , there may be trouble tomorrow and I could use some sleep and spells.

OOC: the sleeping arrangements are fine with Rethlin. What Rethlin suggested was setting a watch order so the Mook in under constant guard. We should put the Arcane casters first, non casters in the middle, and Rethlin will be last. I'll map that out in detail if you want.

"Let's set a watch order and get some rest." Rethlin comments to the others. "In the morning we can go check out the library, then we can search for Fletchers. Our friend here can be left for the town watch."
