Wow, this mook's having a bad day
The mook lies quietly during Zook's watch shift, trembling every time Zook looks at him.
Clearly he's been traumatized for life as regards gnomes.
When Kae takes over, he recovers a little bit of his confidence and attempts to work free of his bonds, taking a penalty of 2 to give her a Spot check DC of 12 to detect him. He needs one roll to get free of each set of bonds.
Mook escape artist checks (1d20-2=0, 1d20-2=7)
Kae sees the mook thrash about like gaffed fish, but he gets nowhere. Astonishing, really, given the lousy job of tying-up Rethlin did on him.
Assuming nobody does anything like coup-de-grace the mook, everyone else's shift goes smoothly through the night and really, into the midmorning -- you didn't get to the boarding house until after midnight.
Rethlin is standing watch over the mook when he hears a knock coming from the street.
There's a dwarf on the front step.
(Veyk, welcome back.)
