Final words...

"It's Veyk" Rethlin replies to Zook. Opening the door a little wider, and sticking his head out, Rethlin calls out to Veyk: "Well met master Veyk, I hope you fared well this evening".

" Hold on a moment, Master Innkeeper, " says Bhalag, raises one hand in a motion to stop.

" You must of had one too many drinks last night, lad, because the name is Bhalag, " says the dwarf, fixing Rethlin with a baleful glare. " You must be thinking of one of the other gentleman from the tavern, I think I know the one. "

His expression easing a little, he says, " It's good to see you folks again though. I'll come back down to have a chat once I've seen my room. "

With that, he clomps towards the stairs leading up to the next floor, heading after the innkeeper.

The man leads you to a bedroom, spare but clean.
Bed, table, chair, armoire, washstand.

All the furniture is old and looks like it came from better days in Cyre..
The floor is painted wood.

Two windows with pierced shutters.

The man gives you the key and withdraws downstairs.

After taking a moment to appreciate that he may never get to actually sleep in this room, that he rented for a whole month, Bhalgar moves as quietly as he can back down to Rethlin's room, and invites himself in.

After closing the door, quietly, he turns on Rethlin, eyes full of anger. Bhalgar pokes him hard in the chest, and growls in hushed tones, " In polite society, you never refer to a changeling by any name other than that of his current persona. "

"Pardon me, my good man" Rethlin replies with a bow. "Changlings are hard to keep track of, they are ...changing... all the time."

"Now that we are assembled, let us be on our way. Master Bhalgar, how do you think we can get this Mook into the hands of the authorities? After that we plan to head to the Library and follow up on one of our remaining clues."

" Well, we could just leave him here and send a courier with a note, if you don't plan on ever coming back to this establishment. If you don't mind, I could use an hour or two of shut-eye, if we can spare it. "

Ambra opens her eyes slowly, taking her time over getting up and allowing her latent powers to focus naturally. As she drags herself out of bed (and mumbles vaguely with discontent when she finds that Kae is hogging the facilities, albeit not so loud as to risk Kae actually hearing her) Brye fills her in on the details she missed, and recommending she find a new place to stay.

'Another day, another of Sharn's inns we can never return to again.'

'I guess... we're not really missing much. Maybe if we find these Black Scrolls we can get a reward and find somewhere nicer?'

'When did that Warforged ever mention a reward? No sister, these flamers are to cheap for that; I believe the excuse is that fighting evil is it's own reward or somesuch nonsense.'

'Just... just shut up Brye!'

She sidles up to 'Bhalgar' mousishly and mumbles a quick but affectionate greeting.

"Um... thank you for coming with us, It means a lot. Take as much sleep as you like... although not too long. F-from what we've heard we may not have a lot of time if we want to beat these Karrnathi men to the prize, whatever that is."

Zook clams his book and goes off to meet the intrepid changling " yes, please od not delay us too long. I am quite looking forward to going ot the library!!

He then bows to his female friend and says with a warm smile" I trust you slept well. I look forward to the upsoming days exploits and hope that you will find as much enjoyment out of the next few days as I will, Of course, there is a lot at stake but, I am confident our abilities. Olladra is smiling on us..."

Feeling somewhat cut out of the loop, Kae just watches blankly as things resolve themselves. She gives a shrug. Seems that it's all worked out, though she can't fathom how Rethlin knew that the dwarf was Veyk.

"Feel free to catch a little sleep if that's what you need to do. Our resident master scholar and pugilist here seems eager to bury us all in dusty tomes, but I confess I don't share his enthusiasm. Personally I'd sooner see us split into two groups - those with the predilection for it can do some research in the library, while the rest of us dispose of our friend here and then chase up some fletchers and maybe make a few discreet inquiries as to the tenants of the third apartment up over the McCallack Brothers Forge. And then we could meet for a little late lunch."

" Not a bad idea there, Kae. Doesn't matter much to me which I'm stuck with though, so I guess I'll get going back to my room, and assume I'm with whoever is still here when I wake, " says Bhalag, yawning.

Taking his leave from the party, he trudges upstairs to his room. Charity aside, he may as well enjoy what he paid for at least once.

( Bhalag was introduced, very briefly, back at the Shard, if you are wondering Autumn. )
