Final words...

Bhalag says, " I suppose it's possible, but I wouldn't know who, or why. I haven't been in the town long enough to attract that kind of attention, especially since attracting attention is something I'm usually keen on avoiding. "

Reaching into his belt pouch for the coins to pay for his meal, he asks, " You know someway I could get past those guards without surrendering my weapons and gear? "

Zook goes over to Ambra and reports about the football players in a quiet whisper " Keep an eye on them I fear that they may be in leauge with the Order of the Emerald claw. Thier Karnathi accent makesm e nervous, thoough if push came to shove I could probably handle them and then get one of them to defend me while i was at it." Zook grins, still proud of his recent accomplishments
" I will continue to search for the book, but if you could, keep an eye on them I fear more than anything that I will snuck up upon and suprised by a book to the cranium!!"

Zook cordially asks the new arrivals if he can peak at their books and, if unsuccesful, heads to the History of Sharn section of this floor and begins looking for the book.

The halfling shrugs. "I'll keep an eye on it if you want to go in, but I've got no ideas. Why? You got overdue books?"

OOC: Hey, back now. Kae will be eager to check out the forge, but as it'll probably be coming up to lunchtime anyway she'll let herself be persuaded that they should head back and meet with the others.

Moving the adventure along...

Having not heard anything from Ambra, we assume she's staying quiet and will move on.

The two new football players look at Zook warily and refuse to share their books with him.
"Is beeg research broject. Werry important. Need all the books."

All five of the football players now regard Zook warily.
"Go do your own research broject."
It's not sounding like a request.

Outside, Bhalag now has a bowl of pepper-prawn noodles, dwarf-style. His sinuses may never be blocked again.
(Dwarf style means spiced so someone with an average of a +3 bonus to their Fort Saves feels the heat.)

A skycab drawn by four phantasmal griffins is descending from high overhead to the back of the library building.

Rethlin and Kae arrive at the front of the library. There is a somewhat shorter line of students and scholars waiting to be searched for weapons and allowed inside.
There is a food stand with halfling noodle cooks, now enthusiastically making fresh noodles in a sort of performance cookery. There is Bhalag the dwarf, eating noodles.

Zook asks Ambra to come back outside with him and he goes up to Bhalag and whispers " There is a problem inside which your...unique talents would be much appreciated for. We foudn the floor with the book we need on it but these big Karnnathi Football players are using most of them and well Id rather not cause a scene. So, do you like football?"

"Bhalag," Kae greets with a nod and a smile, walking up to the sometime-dwarf. She seems genuinely glad to see him, and in fact that's not far off the mark. After a few hours spent in the company of the Flamer Rethlin, she's glad to see anybody at all.

She turns aside briefly to one of the cooks. "I'll have what he's having," she orders, laying down a coin on the counter and licking her lips at the delicious smells of frying food that lace the air.

She turns back to Bhalag as she waits for her food. "Had a good morning?" she asks, one eyebrow arched slightly.

" Huh... Oh, hello, Kae, Rethlin, " says Bhalag in between mouthfuls of noodles. " Ambra and Zook are inside, though I'm note sure where. If you want to go in, leave your stuff with me. They're not letting anyone in with weapons or packs. Waiting arounds not exactly real exciting though, if that answers you're question. "

To the halfling, discreetly signals that their conversation is at an end.
