D&D 3E/3.5 Finally switching to 3.5...

We've been playing 3.5 since it came out, and still get tripped up.

I only noticed uesterday, for example, that Invisibility now has a 1 min/level duration. Which definitely ups the usefulness of rings of invisibility... and changes the dynamic a bit.

It used to be 'cast invisibility when you're going to hoof around for a bit, but greater is best in combat.'

oops! - yes, I was incorrect. The AoOs thing was my source of confusion - sorry

And yet, in 3E, it was a ranged weapon... so if you thought it was a ranged weapon in 3.5, then that's not a "difference" :)

Thanks for the help folks.

We've started using the 3.5 PHB to reference spells and combat actions, but my group uses Etools for their character-tracking and we haven't purchased the 3.5 datapack yet. Quote from a player "So now we're playing some weird amalgamation of versions?" reply "apparently so." (and bonus points given for being the first player of mine to ever use the word amalgamation in a casual sentence).

Excellent...

Why, thank you kindly. :o

Just so you know, I've updated the DMG files to reflect the just-released errata from WotC (not that there were many changes, but just for completeness' sake).

Steven,

Great work...this will really help me decide on whether or not to make the jump to 3E.

How about the classes people? If you already haven't read all of Chapter 3 through 5 you should do so. The spells went through some heavy changes as well.
