Finding the right D&D Mini

Cedin

First Post
With the release of 4e I've found myself DMing more than ever before -- just running the preview mods for interested folks! I've been looking at a variety of websites that sell D&D minis, but have had a hard time finding what I'm looking for. Is there a list of all D&D minis that's designed for a Dungeon Master rather than a D&D Mini gamer? I want to be able to see all the kobolds (for example), independent of set, or search for all the orcs, or elves, or whatnot. I don't care about their warband alignment, etc. I just want to see which kobolds have been published so that I can pick up 5 that look like slingers, 5 that look like dragonshields, etc. Can you help?

You can find various ways to sort minis HERE at Vesivus. Scroll down the left side, and eventually, for example, you can sort out Kobolds.

Note that it's a couple of sets out of date, which surprises me. That may or may not be fixed in the future.

Another options is to download a warband generator -- my favorite was always Kris Bales' (HERE), which is Excel-based, but Bifur (Access-based) is very popular, too -- which incorporate photos and obviously have sorting capabilities.

Jeff,

Thanks very much for the tips. The Vesivus site in particular is a great find, and seems to be just what I'm after!

I needed one of these links bad. I was getting so sick and tired of looking through each of the individual galleries. Thanks for posting this!
