Finished P3: Assault on Nightwyrm Fortress!

I must spread xp around again!

Thanks for sharing. I always like seeing what other groups are doing.

And I do not recognize the Dragonborn cleric. Which set is that from? I thought I had them all but apparently I is missing one.

It's the Dragonborn Myrmidion from "Against the Giants"

Dragonborn melee clerics are really, really fun. I love that clerics in 4e can be either Melee or (short) Ranged; indeed, the paragon level heroes have been excellent.

Cheers!

That one I have. It must be the orange color of the rakasta that made me think it was a dragonborn.

Thunderspire has a lot of potential. With the right group and DM, it'd really sing.

Cheers!
I added a lot of setup for it, I suppose. It is perhaps unfair, though, to rate a module based on what can be done with it, rather than what it is. :)

I threw in scenes like norkers working for Paldemar burning down the Halfmoon Inn with the PCs inside of it, to make them hate Paldemar early on. It needs more than it has, but much like P1, with some tweaks, it can be awesome.

I may be biased, though, because I also ran a one-shot interlude in Thunderspire to bridge from P1 to P2, and set up the whole "the drow are as screwed as we are" plot line.

I don't think so. That should definitely be part of a review.

Me, I always customize adventure modules. I never play them as written. If a module doesn't seem to have any potential, I won't waste any effort trying to turn it into something that will work for me. At best I'll use some of the encounters and incorporate them into a different adventure.

H2, however, has a lot of potential. It provides some details about locations that aren't part of the adventure. It also includes a potential base of operation with interesting npcs. All of these can be used to expand and adapt the adventure.

As I realized after reading Hammerfast, that's the kind of thing I value more in an adventure module than a string of sophisticated combat encounters.

Have you seen Vor Rukoth yet?
Unfortunately not. I had preordered it at the online shop of my choice but it was already sold out when I wanted to place my order.

The same thing happened with all of the Dark Sun supplements - they were sold out after a couple of hours.

I'm going to get it as soon as it's available again, though. I'm quite hopeful it will be about as good as Hammerfast.

My group are just finishing off P2 and I'm considering what I will do with P3, which is too linear to suit my needs. I'm also concerned that constantly fighting undead will be monotonous for the players.

I broke up H3 Pyramid of Shadows and salvaged it for parts, and I suspect I will edit P3 significantly, to give more non-combat options and reduce the grind.
