Fire and Ice

OMG I have not heard anyone speak of Fire and Ice ever.. I saw it once when my father rented it for me when I was around 8 or 9. It was pretty cool from what I remember and I'll have to put the DVD on my want list =)

UK purchase, eh? I've yet to hear of anyone in the USA having a copy of this. That's why I'm thinking it has never been released here in any form. Thanks for the info and any more you happen to come up with, though.:)
I checked the DVD's box. It's region 4, i.e. Australia, and distributed by an Australian company called Force Video. A bit of an online search failed to locate a working web site but I did find these contact details:

Force Video
Rear 168 Macauley Rd North Melbourne VIC 3051
Ph: (03) 9329 8120 Fax: (03) 9329 8116
sales@forcevideo.com.au

My DVD player is a multi-system one so I don't normally pay attention to where a DVD is from. I'm pretty sure from the physical quality of the disc and the visual/audio quality of the contents that this is a bona fide licensed product. I wouldn't have bought it if I suspected it was snide.

Ranger/Barbarian works for Darkwolf, I think, and whatever he is, he's got some Magic Resistance.
I reckon he's quite high level and therefore has much better saves than anyone else.

Nekron. Hmmm. Tough. I'd almost want to say a psionic instead of the traditional D&D wizard or sorcerer, which I don't think really fits, although if you just reimagined the magic system, then my guess would be sorcerer or wizard.
I was thinking an elementalist although he does use powerful mind affecting magic as well. He seems quite charismatic so perhaps some sorcerer variant. As you say, Nekron is tricky to cast in D&D terms.

Thanks, that does clear up this little mystery quite nicely.

No doubt.

I'm sure it's fine. It was probably just negotiated as a separate contract from the USA DVD Distribution rights and got done faster or that guy didn't sit on it as long or whatever. Seemingly that guy figured that putting it on a disc with a menu and getting it into a box and into stores quickly made the most sense for his investment. Looks like the USA right guy wanted to double-disc all these extras and do it up as a big nostalgia thing. I'd take either one just to see the film but I am also looking forward to the extras, too.

Thanks, again! :)
