I'm just wondering if someone is kicking themselves for axing an emmy-winning show. Or if it'll get picked back up.

I doubt it in both cases, but it would be nice, especially the latter.

There have been many short-lived, cancelled TV series that have won at least one Emmy, which is voted by their peers (cast, production crew), not by the TV network executives, who prefers Nielsen over Emmy.

Amazon is polling interest on the Firefly DVD collection. Search DVD "Firefly TV" and you get a page saying that while the collection is not yet in production you can sign up to be notified when/if it does go into production.
