Firefox question: Downloading themes

Does anyone know how to install themes that aren't on the update.mozilla site? Firefox downloads them as .jars (java stuff yes?) but when I go to run them WIndows says it can't find the right program. I would have to select java if I can find how to select what program to open it with?

Also I have installed version 1.0 (latest), can I delete my old one now?

Finally does anyone know where to find a good quaility skin? I know that the question is vague but what do you use (you wouldn't use it if you didn't like it, would you)?

Go
here and browse to the jar file. It will install it for you. I think you're advised to delete older versions of Firefox before installing a new one, fwiw.

Also, I use the firefoxmodern theme, from the main themes page, but ymmv.
