LOL. :)

Does Oester mean that in Norwegian or something? I just kind of made up that name, but I guess I could tie it somehow into spring.

Love your book Midnight by the way! I think I traded THoT for Crown of Shadow with Thomas Denmark at the FFG booth. I would have loved to meet you and shake your hand on a job well done though.

Ed, you were too busy upselling your book man!!!! Wil must have come by the booth several times:D

Congrats on the review my friend you are a pleasure to work with.

I try. I try. :)

I don't think I saw him, but oh well, next time!

Yeah, I had fun at the booth and both you and Hal have been great. Can't wait 'til next year!

Dude, we did meet. You were a....ummm....jumpy bunny. :)

Doug, remember I met Ed? I talked you into giving me a Hamlet of Thumble because Ed was such a big Midnight fan there was no way he'd mind coughing one up. :D

See y'all next time!

Ack, self-inflicted wound. Note to self: Do not self-nickname.

I'm honored that you'd pick up a copy of The Hamlet of Thumble actually.

So, does this mean I get your next product free in my mailbox soon? :)

Wait it's called actual sales figures.

Sales figures?!

Heh, good luck... :)

I've only managed to read a bit of HoT yet (from the massive pile of stuff I returned with from GenCon :D) but from what I saw, it looks pretty good.

Yeah, they're quite sobering numbers, but hey we don't do it for the money, right? :)

I hope you like it! Actually, I was reading your A Magical Medieval Society again last night and I have to say you guys did a wonderful job. When I wanted to look up how much a silver spoon would cost and found it on your price list for 5sp, I was quite pleased.

A question though: what is the default magic level for a typical Magical Medieval Society? It seems like it is hinted that magic is prevalent and used throughout the culture in some way. Can you tell me more about this?

We tried to take the implied amount of magic from the "standard" rules. That way DMs could up it or down it in a similiar manner they've done for the rest of their D&D campaign. IMHO, the "standard" is somewhat high-magic, but that's a long topic for debate, i supose.

Wow! Here is another FIVE STAR review of The Hamlet of Thumble:

http://www.enworld.org/reviews/inde...tive&reviewer=Hairy+Minotaur&product=WoW1THoT

I really enjoyed reading this reviewer's playtest review because he did an excellent job at capturing the spirit of The Hamlet of Thumble. I laughed out loud when I saw the part about the party pretty much dissing the hamlet's sheriff right off the bat. :)

Great stuff!

Gary Gygax just said he's got his copy, too, so maybe he'll post a review here. Though I doubt it, but it sounds like he's enjoying it so far. :)

Like I said Ed, capturing the spirit was easy when you wrote it so well. :)

Best of luck in the sales, and I too would love to hear Gygax's review.:D

Thanks again, Hairy Minotaur! Your words are too kind. :)

Gary said he'd e-mail his comments to me. I really, really do hope he likes it. But if he doesn't, screw him. Just kidding. :) I love the guy. I still can't get over how friendly and cool he is! It would be awesome if he posted a review even if he hated it. I could always brag, "Gary Gygax said he loathed my book and burned it right away!"
