Sandman is Flint Marko.

Juggernaut is Caine Marko.

Any relation?

I seem to recall a bit villain from Power Man and Iron Fist called "Man-Mountain Marko" as well - and also no relation to the other two.

Firstly,

Fred's jersey was red, not green. Sandman's always been green.

Secondly, the Sandman and Juggy are not related.

Thirdly, Sandman has been around much longer than 80s Kruger.

As for the look - this surprises me - not at all like the "Yech" feeling I got from Thomas Jane's Punisher first look picture a couple of years back. He looks like Marko would look - Marko was a thug who lucked into some cool powers. I think they tried to pad him up a bit, but he still looks a little scrawny for Marko - Marko needs a heavy-class body-builder's build. But so far so good.

Yeah, I was also pleasantly surprised. When cast, I just couldn't picture him as Sandman, but that publicity shot really hit the mark, IMO. Not that I ever really liked Sandman, however. He's one of my least favorite of the classic villains. One of the few I liked worse was the old man version of the Vulture. But I'd still rather see them get it right than do something completely off the wall with it.

Now, unless I've lost track of all the rumors entirely, I'm trying to figure out how Topher Grace is going to be Venom.

Oh, wait--supposed to avoid me too posts! Still, casting Topher as Venom must mean that they've done something funky with the storyline and how he came to be. I know the story in the original comic book run, with Secret Wars and whatnot. In fact, I have those. Same for the Ultimate Spiderman. In the cartoon series, wasn't he an astronaut that accidentally picked up the symbiote in space or something like that?
