I don't know a lot about OAD&D stuff, but I do know of a store that has three books (PHB, DMG, and MM presumably?) that look just like this:

For a total of $75. I'm getting the impression this is a steal?

I wouldn't call it a steal, but more like a pretty good deal. If you're buying it for speculation, I wouldn't bother; but if you're nostalgic and want it for sheer collectability, it'd be worth it.

Thanks Henry. I was thinking about appreciation value as well as collectability. I was considering collecting older books and thought it might make a good piece.

That auction looks like it's being run by Paul Stromberg, who's a big collector and posts on both DF and The Aceaum. He's also auctioned off a collection from Steve Marsh.

If they're 4th printing or later, that's probably about right. If they're third printing or earlier, it's a steel. I'd be willing to bet you the purchase price that they're 4th printing or later.
