First Post
What up!?
This is my first post (I just joined a few minutes ago). Currently, I'm in the process of designing one of the first completely free, entirely text-based (with graphics only to help make the site/game more "attractive; they don't affect game-play), DnD RPG.
This will be entirely based off of 3rd edition rules. I've asked several forums and the largest majority agree that 3rd edition rules would be the best to base my game on. I, myself, have never been lucky enough to experience a legitamite, paper/pencil DnD game; however, I've found much joy from the graphical computer versions (especially Baldur's Gate 2: Shadow of Amn).
Although talented in web design/development--HTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, etc.--I've one problem. I have very limited knowledge in the actual rules of DnD. (Ironic, huh?). I would like to ask, if possible, that anyone who has any of the 3rd edition books (Players Handbook, Monster Manual, or DM Guide) and has no need/use for them--or simply wishes to rid themselves of the books--to please consider donating them to my cause. If necessary, I will give them back once finished. The conditions of the books are not important, so long as they are still legible. I appreciate any consideration.
NOTE: If anyone is interested in helping with DnD oRPG (Dungeons & Dragons Online RPG), please feel free to contact me. I am accepting any help possible--especially from graphic artists. Also note that I will be incorporating the rules as I program the game. The first BETA rounds will contain only few of the rules; they will be added as the game evolves.
