Fist of the Forest and Monk

Because I'm wary of piling three attribute bonuses onto AC. If it's demonstrably not a problem, then it's demonstrably not a problem, and I'm perfectly okay with the idea that my wariness may be unwarranted. It's just a gut feeling.
Imho, since monks already suffer from MAD, this is only going to make it worse for them. It's yet another attribute you'll want to max.

IIRC, the prestige class is basically trying to make a monk/barbarian multiclass character viable. The AC boost will be necessary to pull it off.

The warforged monk/fist of the forest in our 19th level game is pretty dang nasty compared to my 19th level Warblade/major bloodline/master of 9.

He has a 13 point armor class edge over me, which applies to his touch AC as well. He has nearly twice my hitpoints with his +7 Con bonus. His saves are all like 4-8 points higher than all mine. He does on average about 120-150 damage in a round. Takes him a lot more rolls than my single strike of perfect clarity or greater insightful strike(+36conc), but he does as much or more damage.

And his BaB is basically the same as mine since I lost out on the bloodline levels and 3/4 classes.

I still think a monk2/Psi warrior 18 would still be nastier. Tashalatora(sp) FTW!

Twice your HP with just a +7 Con bonus? What's your Con bonus, +2 at 19th level?
Also, he needs full attacks to pull his damage off. If it's easy for him to do that all the time, your DM is doing something badly tactically.

BTW, your bloodline levels should by now have paid for themselves. 'Experience is a river' and all that, after all. I'm astounded you're still behind.

Yeah, not sure how with a d12 warblade HD you fell so far behind on hp; monk's a d8 and requires more high ability scores than you do. Granted, con factors in highly since it adds to AC, but still, all things being equal (ie, point buy; rolling for stats can lead to all sorts of crazy power disparities) you should be close in hp to him, possibly higher if not for the bloodline levels.

I'm also surprised on the damage. Is that with strikes and boosts, or just his full attack? You should at least have WAY WAY more high level maneuvers than him...

Ultimately though...do you think he's overpowered? Too much stronger than you? Since some people seem to think multiple stats to AC makes a PC overpowered, your thoughts would be helpful here.
