Five Pointed Alignment System

won't you get in trouble for more or less completely ripping off the color wheel concept from MtG, as seen in the articles of Mark Rosewater on the wotc site?

/Me waits with anticipation for the next person that will say, with a startled look, "hey, did you know this looks like Magic: the Gathering???"

Did you know this looks like Magic:TG?

Anyway, why is Magneto Black, and not White? He wants to establish an order where his people are safe and respected, doesn't he? And would you care to elaborate why you think Gandhi is green?

I think by elaborating, I could get a better/deeper understanding of the concept.

It would be trivial to file off the serial numbers on this.

I disagreed with both of these assignments as well, though in the magneto case it probably comes down to a disagreement about the character rather than a question of the allignment system.

More so than simple examples, I'd like to think about this in terms of opposing examples. That is, a good guy and a bad guy for each color. We have hitler vs superman for white, Wolverine vs just about any of the 'wackier' villians for red, Mr Fantastic vs Dr Doom for blue, poison Ivy vs the swamp thing for green.... I'm stuck on black. I can easily assign black to multiple villians, but at best can't describe anyone better than "not evil and somewhat useful to the good guys" that way. A believable 'good' Black character would make this work for me better.

Also, a lot of characters are going to be classified by more than one color, and I'm wondering how this is accounted for in your system.
