D&D 5E Fizban's Treasury: The Dragon Book Now Has A Description... And A Feat

Courtesy of Amazon, we now have a description for Fizban's Treasury of Dragons, the October D&D hardcover. The book introduces gem dragons, dragon-themed player options, and plenty of draconic lore! This joins September's The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, and November's Strixhaven: Curriculum of Chaos.

At D&D Live this weekend, WotC will be revealing a lot more about all three books. It will be interesting to see if the Dragonlance-themed title means the book has Dragonlance content (I'm hoping for dragonlances and draconians, at least), and whether it settles that old argument of whether Paladine and Takhisis are actually Bahamut and Tiamat, or merely inspired by them.

(Warning: Dragonlance Chronicles spoilers in the cover text, if you haven't read those novels yet!)

I actually hope we get updated stat blocks of the MM dragons (despite the fact that I know they will have less HP) if they take the opportunity to make them more thematic.
I hope WotC starts to take some cues from some of the good DMsGuild work out there and start giving monsters interesting things to do in combat, especially with bonus actions and reactions.

Well, I tend to doubt they will redo the standard age lwvels: and I'd prefer more new stat blocks, at any rate.

That is what we assume, but we don't really know the break down
I feel pretty confident about the Gem Dragons getting the full treatment, and Dragon Turtles make a good bit of sense, to explain what their deal is: past that is speculation, especially since they are willingness introduce new concepts here in addition to deep cuts like Dracohydras.

I do too, I am just pointing out that we don't know until we know. ;)
