flaming sword and power attack

can you use powerattack with flaming sword? It seems to me that you can but it is awefully powerful.

There are other touch type attacks (I believe from psionic's).

Sure, but using a flaming sword isn't a touch attack. (Assuming that you are referring to a weapon with the Flaming ability and not something else. If you are referring to the druid flame blade spell, then I don't believe power attack would apply. The blade is immaterial so it doesn't matter how hard you hit them. You don't get your strength bonus to damage with a flame blade either.)

Are you referring to feats like deep impact and unavoidable strike? They let pay 5 Power Points per attack to make them a touch attack. Yes, power attack would stack with them. As for the caliban covered it quite well, as ever.
