FLAVOR CLASSES: They're Ba-ack!!!

Skill Points : 5 [provided the # of skills + 1 formula is applied]

No, it's the other way around. You should have one more class skill than you have skillpoints.

Because, if you have a skill point bonus of +1 you need a skill to spend that last point on. If you have a total skillpoint bonus of +2 you can spend those points on a cross-class skill.

For sure, if you have five skill points and get to spend them on four skills you could spend three on class skills and two on a cross-class skill but that would mean that you wouldn't know all the skills of your chosen profession (3 out of 4 in this case). Something I think we should avoid.

I'm plugging this rule pretty hard but that's just to show that I care. :)

But you are forgetting the x4 multiplier for first level. With 4 skills and 3 skill points you get 12 points to distribute. If your Int is 14 you get 20 points to distribute. Seems kinda annoying to be forced to spend points 4 points on cross class skills just because there are not enough class skills on your list. I think the classes should have a minimum of 5 skills and provide 2 + Int skill points. Use 4 + Int when there are 8 or more skills and 6 + Int at 11 or more skills. None of these classes should be in the Rogue range of number of class skills.

If the class is taken after 1st level, perhaps there should be a requirement that you have 5 ranks distributed among the class skills in order to take the class. Any skill the character is missing he could make one of his permanent class skills. Thoughts?

AND I just had a new idea ... probably not the right time, before we have sorted out the existing ones, but still. Inspiration strikes ;)
The more the meatier the first real release is.
Many Bodyguards adopt the Devoted Defender PC [I think it's called so, it's in Song and Silence or Sword and Fist,
But it's not OGC so it must be removed.
His charge receives DR [half Guard's class level]/[One fitht guard's class level, rounded down]. However, the Bodyguard receives all damage prevented that way, and must reimain within 5 ft. of his charge.
Um, you mean half his character level. Half of his bodyguard level is always 0. Also, I would limit the weapon plus to +3 no matter what the bodyguard's character level.

There are a few typoes too: Clim = climb, malus = minus or penalty (that seems like a language-o, maybe)

Not bad otherwise. You might add in Sense Motive so he can avoid being Bluffed away from his charge. "Hey, check this out!"

But the would make it very difficult for, say, fighters, to qualify. 5 skill points are a lot for them, 2.5 levels with no int bonus, and possibly even on cross-class skills!

True. I guess requirements waived at first level but enforced at 2nd level would be hard to do.

True. Though I thought I would limit the number of skills, as it's clearly a fighter flavor-or-whatever class. And I MEANT char level. And the malus <-> penalty IS a language thinggie.
The limit for the pluses is a little tricky, as it really depends on whether it's a high or low magic campaign. In loew magic, +3 is quite substential, while it's almost laughable on really high magic ones.
