FLGS List for London & England

I'd also go for Leisure Games in Finchley. It's not central London by any means but it's only a 5 min walk from Finchley Central Underground Station and it has the best stock of any RPG shop I have been in. I always visit when in London.

The address is 91 Ballards Lane, Finchley.

Down in Wellywood (where I'm from) there's only Graphix, which is a comic store that carries D&D books.

I'm not in Wellington, but apparently there is a new store called 'Wargames Supply' in the BNZ Centre that's reputed to stock RPG material. Wellington also has the best second-hand (aka used) book store for RPG material in New Zealand - Arty Bees.

Really straining my memory . . . like 15 years ago, Oxford used to have two places to buy games. One was Blackwells, in satellite store on the same street as the main branch (Blackwells in London definitely doesn't have 'em).

The other place was across from the Cape of Good Hope pub . . . I have only vague memories of it, so I can't recall the name.

There's gotta be somebody selling 'em still in Oxford.

No, they moved some time ago. They're now at 100 Ballards Lane which is on the other side of the street a tiny bit further away from the Underground station. ;)

I haven't been to Oxford for years either but when I was a student there, the best FLGS by far was the Gameskeeper on Cowley Road. It's (or was) a few minutes' walk from Magdalen College, part of the University. So if you're there as a tourist, it's not far from the circuit of most visited colleges.

Hmm I'll have to check that place out when I'm back there on holiday. And I can't beleive I forgot about Art Bee's for OOP stuff. They have a few for sure.

now back to your regular topic ;)

Gameskeeper is still there, but I was in Oxford on a sunday when it's shut so I didn't get a chance to have a look.

Ah, Gameskeeper sounds familiar. I'm think that's what I meant by "the place near the Cape of Good Hope pub". With a quick internet search, the Cape of Good Hope pub was renamed "The Pub Oxford" and is on a street called the Plain, which I believe is the area between High Street and Cowley Road. Lame directions by me, but it prompted you to post useful info. :)

16 years since I attended Oxford, and I'm only an American anyhow, so I think I rolled about a 12, but with a -4 modifier. :)

You're quite right. Looks like the address I found was well out of date and I'd forgotten about the old change of address from 91 to 100 years back. Not that they have moved that far.

I know my way there so well I have not had to use the street number myself for years now. :)
