Flgs?

Gumby

First Post
What, exactly, does the abbreviation FLGS stand for? I assume the last three letters stand for "local game store," which I've picked up from context, but I'm mystified as to the "F."

I'm assuming the "F" doesn't stand for the usual word that "F" stands for in internet abbreviations, but I can't think of much else. Friendly, maybe?

Yup.

So Gumby, whats the scene up there? you probably don't have enough stores in Anchorage to have a FLGS do you? LGS is just fine too.
Actually, we've got an excellent local comic book/game store chain up here, called "Bosco's."

I went to UCSC in Santa Cruz, and I remember there being a nice game store downtown that mostly sold board games and neat little toys, but had some RPGs in the back; and a comic book store kind of off at the end of downtown, right next to a parking garage, called "Atlantis" or something like that. It's been eight years or so, but are both those still there?

Yep! "Game-A-Lot" sells a lot of RPG now, and gets at least one or two copies of most new 3rd Party d20 titles.

Atlantis is a great store. Clean. All the indepentant titles. All a Fan Boy could want.

Good to hear from a "local" ! Take care up there!

Joe
